buying nice condition 05 ego how does it compare to the etek2?

hi i am looking at buying a mint condition 2005 ego for $275 and wanted to know how they compare to my etek2? is it worth getting? is this a fair price? and is it more high performance than the etek2? will it be able to shoot faster? because speed in the woods is important to me...lol

between the 2 I would go for the etek2, if it was an etek, then go with the 05

Darth.....well machanically arnt the two eteks the same? besides maybe the spring hpr instead of the shimstack? and maybe different lpr internals..and also what do you think of a new in box Dye DM7 for $499

Bro..... honestly, $275 is too much for that gun. You can buy an Ego 7 for around $325. Hit the nation. If need be, i'm an avid gun flipper..... i'm sure i can find you something legit. PM me.

thanks godfather its just that i dont trust sending someone i dont know money first then maybe ill get the gun..lol...thats how my money got stolen buying a used playstation3 and xbox a good $600 was taken from me so i use trade my gun since its a gunstore

People have alot of worries about that on the nation. However, only deal with people that have alot of positive feedback. Always use paypal and never send your paypal payment as a "Gift". If you get stiffed using paypal, you can file a claim and they will absolutely get your money back for you.

Also, on PBNation you can pay for a "3rd party" service, meaning both you and the seller send your guns to a PBNation employee who verifies that the gun being sold is in the condition described. They then ship you the merchandise you purchased. They also offer full refund if you get screwed. That service i believe is $15 from each side involved.

Really though, PBnation is pretty safe as long as you know whats going on. DON'T deal with people with more than 1 negative feedback. DON'T ship your gun first if it's more expensive. DON'T trust people with 0 feedback. Always leave feedback, wether good or bad for the other party. Once you get a few deals under your belt you should be all good.

You just can't beat the selection. An '05 for $275 is pretty steep dude....

yeah cool thanks man yeah i think that is steep..i know a guy who got the exact gun for $200 with the metal gun case box..well on the 05 its more of a foam insert with a metal slip over it..but any way i found a brand new in box DM7 for $499 these sell used for around $400 to $500 so thats pretty hot i have seen some in the high 3's but very beat up while the ego 7 is around the mid 3's to $400 some people pay $500

like everyone said the 05 is not an upgrade if you have the etek 2. Best bet for a real jump would be the 08 ego which you can find for a fair price (but not 200).

My 2c save up and wait for the true marker you want.

I have done a bunch of deals on the nation as well. Its safe as long as you use your noggin. Like Godfather said, just pay attention to what is going on and you will be all set.
