Instead of having a ton of threads about suggestions, why not keep them in one spot.
My suggestion:
Can A5OG/X7OG/98OG members be grandfathered in to post in the B/S/T?

Sounds like a good idea to me
It would be hard to regulate that in the long run, once new members join, who is who would be too much.
Just wait the 30 days, to help exploit the bugs ( that being one of them to see if the access works ) after 30 days were going mainstream with site with PR and news releases of its existance
After the next 28 days, this particular forum will be pruned so keep them in diffrent topics to help us navigate

Remember, were BETA testing the forum for a month, to both start threads, and to find things to be tweeked. once were 100% you'll be able to post in the BST.

Oh ok, gotcha, we made it so ALL PB related gear goes into the Painball section.
Would you think having seperate sections within would be better? or just one group?

i think the Other OG's it works well for because its a limited demographic. However this site is going to be a wider audience since the marker type is not just a "Scenario" or "Tournament" marker and is used by both.
I will update the BST this week, I think it will be easier now to impliment rather then later if this forum takes off

My only suggestion in regards to the above mentioned statements is that maybe you could add a subsection that includes the MINI as I have noticed that it has quite a following lately.
in the BST or the regualr forums?

I would recommend some sort-of basic breakdown of the differences in the lines of Egos/eteks/etc.
I know myself for one would love to the differences. I realize this forum is going to be geared toward the more experienced Ego users, but there are allot of us PE nubs out there!

Thing I have noticed so far:
Avatar size seems a little small. If you like it smaller, that's perfectly alright with me, but it just seems small to me.
It won't let me upload a Profile Pic. This could be me since I am trying to use the link to an existing profile pic, but I thought I would point it out.
There is no iTrader on the site. Maybe you don't want it, or you just haven't implemented it yet.
An image on the header isn't displaying for me. I get a dead image icon next to the Register tab. This is the image link:

Why are there Tags sections at the bottom of the threads? I understand the concepts, but I can see them being used in an ill mannered fashion.

After I log in, if I dont do anything (i.e. minimize and check my e-mail in another window for 5 minutes) when I come back the screen I left says I'm still logged in but if I go to new posts, I am instantly logged out. Is this normal?
Yes, inactivity will log you out, the main screen does not refresh itself so it'll still show as you left, however to not bog server, it logs you out after so many minutes of not moving around the site.
I will not be disabling that feature as I do not wat to risk my server going slow, and will slowly test the raising of time limit as we get larger and larger with online users

Its fine where it is, in scenario photos, that is a more dermagraphic specific place for that, gear is set aside for playing gear.

I noticed that you have sub categories under the parent forum, and if it doesn't fall in it you just post under the parent forum. I personally believe that this feature might be taken advantage of with people trying to double post there items and so on. I think it would be better to just clean it all up and make something another sub category such as "Gearbag Sales" or "Miscellaneous Paintball Equipment". This way it's all sorted out nicely and there are just sub forums under the "Paintball Related" BST forum. I think this would make it all a little easier to navigate and take away some of the confusion.

That was part of the original outline to have it spread out with a few categories, and I am highly considering that.
As for the double post.... if it happens, BOTH posts are removed and after a warning it happens again, people loose BST rights.....ya know

Also I don't if this was part of the design for a reason. But on the other OG sites every post for each person shows their rep points, but on this site it just skips over it and has age or location instead. I personally found seeing a person's rep points to be very useful.

I havent added that mod, only because I personally dont like the points part. this isn't a "competition"
as for the location......makes it easier to identify people who might play local to you instead of constantly asking "where you from"
remember, your POWER is all that is affected by the points....so the higher the power = points.

Is there a way I can view my own points? The only reason I am asking is for promotion reasons. So when you would know a promotion would be coming.

the site has not gone public yet aside from word of mouth, and the BST section is set the same as the sister forums, and have proven their success in fly by night members gaining access.

How are we suppose to have pictures in our signatures? I noticed that Allow Image BB Code in my signature was disabled. I am pretty sure it used to work.
Images work in sigs, you might not be entering code proper. It works in my sig, as well as a few others.
I do not see anything in your profile turned off

Yeah, it used to work. But I just noticed that it doesn't work. And here is picture that shows that I don't have the permission to use IMG code in my signature:

its prolly because its photobucket. tru uploading the image to another serveer
it says bbc IMG meaning that image is not allowed....ie location perhaps

What to do you mean by location? Look at the bottom of the picture and it shows all of my signature permissions. And as it shows supposidly all I am allowed to do is put smilies in my signature. Are you sure that somehow the permissions got switched or something? I mean I just uploaded that last picture using photobucket.
thats what i mean, the location of the image, permissions are set for both code and images in your sig. so...the only possible problem is the image location.......photobucket. There are times that images cant be direct liked to with that host. change the location of the image to another host

I dont know if anyone else has had this problem but at the top of the page instead of the scrolling advertisements it has the Ford Report right on top of another broken picture box the size of the normal advertisement. And the whole top picture isn't broken but shifted from the advertisement to almost the rest of the way to the right.

Sideshow, I have the same sort of issue with my sig. It's the same one I've used on all the other OG's. I have even tried to go in and delete just the image line, but when I do it says I'm not allowed to have any coding in my sig. Weird....

Quick question, I see where we can post youtube video's using the youtube tags [ youtube ] and [/youtube]. Does the forum have the ability/tags to post facebook videos? I looked through the list of bb codes for the form and didn't seem to find anything that would work. Or are we able to post it as an embedded video? Dunno how that would even work.

The youtube code used on the other sites is a add on BBcode mod for vBulletin sites. You may find some things on the other OG sites you don't here. Part of it is dependent on the version of vBulletin you have installed and the other is the site Owners/Admins discretion. You will find several differences on the OSF site that's not seen on any of the OG's. For example, I wrote BBcode for an iFrame window that's installed on the OSF but not the OG's. Another is the side column that's displayed throughout the forum on the left.
As time goes on, we may determine that some additional mods/coding will be helpful and as such we will add them. User request can sometime determine what mods/coding we may need to look into.
