Posts: The amount of posts each person has made.
Points: The number of points a person has recieved from others
Power: When repping someone, the amount of points you give, or take away from their score. When subtracting from someones points, it uses half of your rep power.
Your power is determined by post count, and rep count. The amount of points you have can give others a general idea of your status on the forum. More points=more active, and usually respected member.
To rep someone, press the box that says rep above their name in the green bar http://www.a5og.net/images/onlydev/buttons/reputation.gif. You can rep someone for any reason but you'll usually do it if someone helps you with something or has done something really cool with their marker. You can "neg-rep" people if someone says something that offends you or is just being an ***. You do not neg-rep someone for having a different opinion than yourself, but if they were to call your opinion idiotic and stupid, a neg repping would be in order.
When repping, you are required to fill in the comment section as to why you gave the individual +/- rep.
Building rep pyramid schemes is strictly prohibited as the amount of rep points you have can give you access to different parts of the forum such as the B/S/T or certian lounges.
To prevent pyramid schemes, you are not allowed to rep the same person until you have repped another ten people. You may also not rep the same post twice.
If you feel you have been unfairly neg-repped, don't make a big deal out of it, ask a moderator to review your case and see if it really was deserved. But be careful because if the moderator thinks you were being a jackass and you do deserve the neg rep, he can turn around and neg rep you too, which really hurts. However, RETALIATION rep against a person will not be tolerated and if it reported it will be handled by the management team.
The use of profane language in a neg rep will not be tolerated. You must maintain the same level of respect when filling out the comment section as you would in the forum, REGARDLESS of what the individual said to result in the reputation.
Reputation Points are also gained by meeting certain milestones. A chart of these milestones / requirements are as follows:
