Not everyone adjusted smoothly to the electronic transition in this corner of the globe, as shown here in this photo titled...

"They may take our Tippmann's, but they'll never take OUR TAC MODS!"

The awesome guys and gals of Desert Edge may remember this little beauty keenly. :D

I was hoping some of the Desert Edge guys would peek in to share in this story too (nothing but love for you guys!), but since they've apparently wandered off and I'm getting ready to climb on a plane for a week I should spill the beans.

It's our team captains '06 Etek, and was the first PE marker in the fold. The accessories are meticulously placed A5 parts from Metadyne I believe. The barrel is a AC threaded Stiffi with a Devastator SpecOps tip.

Yes, it is a staged photo. It was a playful ribbing to Desert Edge for all their years of playfully ribbing us to ditch our bulked out, dripping with accessories, so heavy they had to be carried with slings A5s and swear allegiance to the dark side.

It has a few good laughs in it. My favorite quote was,

You know I love you guys. I was cleaning the BIG Tippmann parts off my work bench and could not resist taking a shot at Dan. I am just a little sad to see my tippy go away. Of’ course now my gun is lighter, quieter, more efficient, smaller, accurate heck it even smells nicer. You guys know what you are doing!

That being said. I think if you could introduce a few dovetail grooves underneath the ETEK gem where the back pickup grip is without cutting into anything vital you could slide on a straight stock. How to pin it in place may be tricky as it's not my forte. I think the magazine could be held on with a thick rubber/foam collar and basically pressure clamp it around the neck of the regulator - no holes, no damage. The front rail could be tricky as any cuts around the LPR could damage the integrity of the marker. Perhaps a barrel shroud/mount similar in design to the magazine design, no cuts or lasting damage that way. I figure it's only a matter of time before someone picks up that niche of the market and introduces some mods.
