Okay I was wondering what kind of paint everyone used for their high end electros. I am new to the Darkside and am hoping to find a good paint to shoot through my Ego9.
There are some options with alot of different brands if there is a common brand with different types of paint or Other please post it up.

I usually use Flash, it is only $30 a case and works good for me in both my Ego 09 and PMR 09. I have also used some recon and stryker paintballs from walmart, don't recommend those at all. I have shot some RPS Marbalizer from last year my dealer sold me for $10 for 1000 and they seem to work fine.

I use "Billy Ball" which is a custom ball made for Low Country Paintball in GA. It's a Blaze shell with this cake batter fill...shoots killer, and NOBODY wipes the fill...it's disgusting.
If I can't get that, then I use DXS Blaze or Silver

I am interested in this paint and next time I go to my usual field I will ask the owner if he is interested. So basically its DXS paintball right thats a custom fill and ball.

I'm interested in testing out some. I'm sending you a PM about it.
Might work out pretty good, my paintball buddy is a DXS paint dealer. :)

It's hard to pick paint based solely on brand. You should try to get a high end paint that is manufactured close to where you pick it up to minimize the time it sits. I like Wpn for practice paint. It isn't very brittle but it shoots straight. For tournies I would prefer Draxxus

I have ran a few different things through my 07 Ego. Draxxus Custom, Flash, "winter grade" Nightmare, Evil.
Although I was pleasently surprised with Flash, I preffer Draxxus. If money is a little tight and I'm at a field that allows BYOP Flash is a good alternaitve. The field that is closest to me uses Draxxus, I like it the best and that's where my vote went.
What ever you decide to use, or can use on that field, get good paint and sometimes you have to pay for it. $30 isn't to bad for Flash and it flew pretty straight.
Good luck.

RPS Marballizer is what i use mid grade to my opinion but works great in my 09 Azure as well as the 06 Dark ego

Any of the JT Fluid line of paint works well.
-Fluid Hydro- $42.00 Field Grade
-Fluid Monsoon- $50.00 Mid Grade
-Fluid Abyss- $62.00 Tourney
Try it some time!

LMBO! "...NOBODY wipes the fill..." that was funny.
I'm with Furby though on the DXS ball. I love Silver, though I haven't had a chance to shoot the cake batter balls.

Haha I guess I can agree with everyone else about the DXS paint. Normally it's not too bad and whether you get their cheaper grade or more expensive grade I haven't had any problems. Marbilizers are really nice but usually they end up being too expensive if I plan on throwing a lot of paint but if I know I'm only going to shoot a case than I'll go Marbilizers over anything else. My teammates just recently ended up shooting a bunch of the Nelson Hemorrhage because we can get it really cheap and they really liked it because it was really cheap, shot great, and left a really nasty pink thick fill that was like paste and was hard to wipe as well. Recently I tried out a paint by WPN called Elixxur and I loved it. I think you can buy it for like 50 a case but the paint was just beautiful. Seams were great, no dimples and it shot really well out of my ego. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

DXS Hellfire is DXS Gold.
But yeah, DXS Silver is probably my favorite paint. Pretty much never bounces, and I pretty much never get barrel breaks, ftw. Gold is nice, but it's too expensive and is really only worth it if it's REALLY hot, otherwise you might get breaks in your pods, hopper, barrel...

I generally use DXS Midnight or RPS Premiums. Both are really good paint.

Down here, we don't get much of choice when it comes to paint.
For the last few years i've been using Meteor/Elixir with good results. Up until I used Marballizer at OK D-Day last year, I really had no idea how good paint can be.
If we had Marbs here in Australia, i'd be using that for sure. Unfortunately, most fields go for the most cost effective alternative. And at the moment, it's Meteor/Elixir.
RPS premium, DXS Hellfire, Evil are all great but really expensive.
I use Inka copper and DXS bronze for rec play.

Yeah, I've used said Killer paint on quite a few occasions. It's not bad now. It used to be TERRIBLE. Oval shaped balls, and hard as hard. Probably comparable to Monsterball in the States. The fill was really heavy too which gave people issues at the chrony, and hit like a sonofa****** when you were shot with it. I had grapefruit sized bruises from that stuff that lasted for 3 weeks. And the fill was like toothpaste, which stained everything it came into contact with and killed the bushland that we played in. There is still traces of that stuff stuck to trees out there, and that was three or so years ago.
P.S. What are you doing up this time of the morning anyway Cagie? :D

nelson hemorrhage
Hands down the best paint for the money. The green shell is a neon green so you can track it down field, and the fill is thick and bright. I have yet to break a ball and I have shot 7-10 cases of it with my etek 2 and now geo+. The shell is great for scenario it will break on a player not on a twig. Not sure it's ok to post the price we get for it here so if you are interested pm melon or I. (same barrel used for both markers 14"freak kit with aa front)
One key I should point out is we always get fresh paint, not stuff that is on the shelf for a year first. With all paint fresh is good :yes nod:
My old fav before melon found the nelson paint was marbz. Works great with the apex and my old a5. One of the best fills ever you just can't beat the big green puff of paint when it hits a player. Now it's 65-70 a case that makes it a no for mongo at least for every game use.

Generally I'm a fan of most DXS paints myself. Bronze, Blaze, and Field are probably my top three choices. Usually can't go wrong with their Custom batches too.
I never had a pref for paint since i have to shoot what the field sell that week and i dont really ever have any problems other than getting stuck in hopper
got to love PE markers

I use dxs paint the local fields sell it at a good price. $45 Triump. $50 Recball. $55 Premere Field. $60 custom. Plus we aint got a field fee if you need air or co2 fills its $3 to $5 per fill unless you bring your own. I have 2 3000 and 2 4500 scubas that cost me $5 to fill at the scuba shop 45 miles away from here. Isn't life great. Have used stingers before (at $60) was not impressed. Core was ok. Basic training works good through high pressure guns
