Hey all, I was recently looking into buying the comprehensive parts kits for the ETEK 1/2/3 and Ego/Geo, since neither of the markers I bought had any spare hardware (I had a packet of O-rings with my SL94, but that's about all I have).
My question to everyone is this - are these comprehensive or universal spare parts kits worth the money? Or, do you recommend just picking up an O-ring kit and supplement with other parts as necessary?
Thanks!

I would contact SoBeJohn on here and see what he can set you up with.

Good advice. I give ol' Gerry Bates a call every once in a while and ask him what types of failures and repairs he gets the most warranty work for and get parts that will allow me to repair those failures.
Having an extensive o-ring collect is always nice. I have just about every size o-ring from a #004 to #022. McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) has the most extensive collection of o-rings I've ever seen and I get almost all of my o-rings through them.
I also like to keep an extra set if high wear parts around like console panels, grips, and LCD windows. In addition, I try to keep a few extra bush button strips, board screws, trigger set screws, bolt pin spring and plunger, and LPR springs since they are very small and can be easily lost in the field and your carpet.
With Geos, it gets more intense 'cause your most critical failures occur in the 'noid/spool pack/pilot valve area. You want replacement spool pack and pilot valve o-rings, check ball valve assembly, and manifold gasket. Gerry told me that having a spare complete pilot valve would be smart.

I love the spare parts kits. I buy one each time I get a different marker. Always good to have spare parts on hand.

I'm waiting for the day that I have SO much paintball gear/junk that I have to roll in a UHaul truck converted to a mobile workbench. Airsmith for hire - have truck, will travel!

That'd be crazy awesome to see...sort of like a farrier rolling up to a horse show - would get all kinds of business, for sure if you hauled around that much paintball parts, gear, etc.
