I purchased my first Ninja tank and regulator this past spring. So far the tank has been everything I could ask for in a tank. Very consistent and reliable. I got the traditional black tank so it looks really awesome as well. Being able to switch the output pressure of the tank from high to mid or low is a very nice feature.

All in all it's a great product and I would definitely recommend Ninja tanks to other paintball players.

A geo2.1? That has to be sexy, I love my Dark Vampire Geo2 the thing shots like a dream.

I had ordered a couple of fittings from Ninja and had a slight issue with the order. Contacted them and cleared it up in a matter of hours. Very good customer service I would order from them again in a heart beat.

set the reg to 500 psi by removing the 2 red shims. this is easier on the reg and the gun and should be more consistent and efficient

What he said.:thumbs up::thumbs up:

I've even used an SLP on my Geo 2 and had phenominal results.

I do wish they could design 'em a little shorter.

the problem with shorter, which we could do, is you lose performance. the reg would not perform at the high level that we want.

Okay. Well, if the reg can't be shorter, it sure would be nice if y'all could make a "middle of the road" tank in a 58 or 60ci size.

I love the length of a 68ci tank with a GA reg on it compared to one with a Ninja reg on it. It tucks in with near peanut closeness while giving me the volume I need to feed my Geo 2. With many fields I visit filling below 4000 psi, I can't trust my Ninja 50/4500 to get me through 5 pods and a hopper.

I love my Ninja 50/4500 on my Ego 11. It'll easily give me 5 pods and a hopper with air to spare even when filled to 3500 psi.

we looked into that size but since it an odd size the costs are higher and the lack of sales means that the retail price would be too high.

remember that the reg gives you the performance, find and old 56, have it hydro tested and put on a ninja reg.

we may have an old one in the shop, let me know if you do not find one and i will double check

I didn't know they made 'em in that size. Meh, I'll just suck it up and get used to my 68 with an SLP.

BtW, I did some shooting over the chrono this evening with 5 different kinds of paint using a HP reg and then an SLP. As soon as I feed the data to an excel spreadsheet, I'll confirm whether or not lower input pressures on the Geo 2 lead to tighter consistency.

Was anything found with the SLP and the original Geo while using the LP reg spring?

I should have the data up today. Labor Day activities are slowing me down...lolz.

Okay, so I did some testing over the chrono to see if I could validate if lower input pressures would result in better consistency. The gun used was a Geo 2 with 11,415 shots through it (counter has never been reset from factory). Dwell was set at 11ms. Barrel used was a stock Shaft 4 using a .689 back.

I used 5 different examples of paintballs from 4 different manufacturers in varying grades to see if there were would be significant differences in consistency with the paint itself.

Performance is gauged on standard deviation. The lower the standard deviation, the more consistent the shot strings were.

Here's the data from my testing:

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o314/Nashorn/Ego%20Stuff/SLPData.jpg

The results sure surprised the hell out of me. My testing showed that the SLP had a slightly negative affect on consistency with my Geo 2. I will try again on my Ego 11 as soon as i get a chance to see if I get similar results. The FPS averages in both HP and SLP testing indicate that there is not a significant difference in consistency between the paint brands and grades. This would seem to indicate that the marker has more to do with consistency than the paint itself. On a side note, the Empire (RPS) All Star was the best performing paint during testing.

Given that the reg on the gun does not have to work as hard with a lower input pressure, I was expecting tighter consistency with the SLP tank reg. I'm no scientist - there may be some factors i overlooked. Any feedback on my testing methods would be appreciated.

I will email a copy of my findings to anyone who would like it. PM me with your email address.

just switched to ninja from using various others, and I have to say, all my other tanks will be getting ninja regs or sold.
