View Full Version : Anyone think of getting PEOG Jerseys?

So I think it would be cool if we maybe did a design for the PEOG Jersey's we could all sport at things we didn't have to wear our team affiliated Jersey's for.

Have it say

Eclipse Operators on the front and name/number on the back.
Then have any "site sponsors" repped on the Jersey.

Maybe do a black with some type of a camo design? Urban Digi maybe?

just tossing idea's out there....

I'll be in the market for a jersey in the next little while. My PE digi cam is getting a little frayed from the thorns in some places (plus, I'm ready for a new look).

Are you thinking something padded like the PE line, or just a lightweight jersey material? I'd likely be game either way.

Good idea.

I'm game either way. I've gone through Animal Paintball in the past for my teams Jersey's but the Style Supply padded jersey's look damn nice also.
So I'm open for discussion. I just wanna see if we can get enough interest, and have something that appeals to woods warriors and air ball commandos

I will speak with the other owners and see what they have to say. I think it would be pretty cool

Cool, I think if we can without too much extra cost it'd be nice if we could get "Mod, Admin, owner" or whatever on ours to designate who we are.

What about t-shirts instead of jerseys?

Just have the name. No need for "Mod, Admin, Owner" because anybody on the site should know who's all a mod, admin, or owner.

T shirts is a good idea. I'll wear a tshirt to the field if its warm enough that day.

T shirts works well for me

It could say this "I'm too sexy for the PEOG" LMAO

I think I'd prefer jersey's since I have way more tshirts than i already need, and my jersey collection isn't as large.

I think a long sleeve t-shirts would be cool. I like wearing those playing indoor in the winter.

Only downside to Jerseys is their expense. I could probably get two maybe three PEOG long sleeves or T's for the price of one animal Jersey...

Personally, I would get either a long sleeve T shirt or a jersey.

I would much rather get a jersey. I only have one at the moment, and plan to get one or two more in the next little bit.

I play woods only, so would like to see something compliment the woods more than the speedball course. Not talking about any sort of camo pattern or anything. Just don't wanna get bright yellow.

I'll ask some of the PE users at the field tomorrow if they're interested too. I don't think any of them are invovled in the forum (although I have told them about it more than once). Maybe they'd want to join up for something like this.

I've turned into a jersey *****.

So, you know where my vote lies. lol

With the right quantity, you can get the Animal ones, full custom, for less than $55 each.

i am down for what ever! t-shirts work and jerseys do too!

DriverJ

I like Jersey's just because it provides a more professional look than a LS. just my thoughts, and with the quantity I'm sure we'd be able to get we'd probably be $55ish + the up size fee from Animal. Not sure what Style Supply pricing would be, but I know they are damn nice, and very padded.

Pattern doesn't make a huge deal to me as long as we represent paintball as a whole vs woods or airball on their own since we are a diverse group.

That's why I suggested an "urban" to look good on both fields. my .02 yet again.

I'm a 'baller. I don't care where or what name you wanna call it. Let's play some ball!

that last post is exactly what I've been preaching. Whatever we do let's make sure it conveys the proper image to the masses.

My team jersey gets worn everywhere! I love people asking about it, and spreading the word in the appropriate fashion. These jerseys/t-shirts should have the same effect. For the sport.

Just have the name. No need for "Mod, Admin, Owner" because anybody on the site should know who's all a mod, admin, or owner.

As a quick note on this: The majority of the people in the world who would see the jerseys probably aren't on this site - I can only think of maybe a handful of the PE Operators/Owners who I encounter at the fields regularly are members of this forum. Having 'Mods/Admins/Owners' represented may be the push that someone needs into feeling welcomed into a community. Example: I only joined initially because DriverJ told me he was probably going to be helping out in a mod-type role; otherwise I would have probably shrugged and said 'it's a smaller community, I don't know if I'd know anyone there that would make it worth joining'.

But, the PE SL Owner's Group is currently working on Jerseys, which I believe is why DriverJ mentioned it as a potential idea. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150795706105054.731325.649595053

Moderators are the people that give the site a good name as they are the customer service, yes you are right on that point. Welcoming they are also. HOWEVER being a moderator is a mere position that can be revoked if the admins do decide to revoke in a heart beat, likely, no but its still a chance. Its the MEMBERS from recruit to owner of the site that make people go to the site and want to visit, having "Mod/Admin/Owner" might give people that god complex saying they are better. I look at this part like rank in the military, if you have it on your chest [as the army has ACU's] then you can do whatever that allows. While I am not against the jersey idea I much rather see a straight across the board which won't segregate out the majority.

I'd be in. Would ather go the jersey route but would buy a long-sleeve also.

I wouldn't mind having a Jersey. I'd be in if it was around $55.
Is this where we would get dibs on numbers? I would love to have number 3.

DriverJ

I don't think we'd limit numbers since everyone should be allowed to have their number/the number they want.

Just my .02

^^ I would agree with this. If there is a team or something that wants to get these, then they could just manage the numbers themselves.

i would be down for a tshirt or a jersey... how much do the animal jersey's cost?

Amanda [Squeegee]
09-14-2011, 12:59 AM
Animal Jersey costs start at $65.00 (For 1 Jersey) Price goes down the more jerseys you ordder.
+ $5.00 for any jersey larger than 2XL

Our team just ordered 12 at $55.95 a piece, including shipping/handling/etc guaranteed to arrive before our event (which means it had to be expedited and moved up to 2-Day Shipping to ensure they arrived on time).

We haven't forgot about this. We are working on a new logo for the forum but if someone wants to start designing examples, we will take a look at them.

If you have suggestions from a jersey on animalpaintball, I can PS one up for everyone to see

I think those who will be ordering Jerseys need to get together and decide what they want the jersey to look like first - otherwise whoever is designing is going to go through more edits then sanity permits.

The design has to please every who's purchasing one equally (no "I hold THIS position, so what I want trumps what you want") because the financial cost is the same all the way around.

We'd also need 1 person who everyone trusts with their contact information (home address) because the order, if done as a group/at once instead of an 'order when you want/can' scenario, will all get shipped together to the same place.

Also, I would push people to decide if they want the Jersey to Represent JUST this moment in time, or be a timeless/classic jersey (which means it shouldn't include the Ego/Etek/Geos on it; it shouldn't include any teams on it, it shouldn't include any sponsors on it, etc.) If you want it to just be a moment in time (which will then make it obsolete when the next PE creation comes out, when the next team joins or leaves, when the next sponsor joins or leaves, etc.) remember that it'll probably need to be updated each time there's a change: Most people don't want to invest in a new jersey just to stay up to date.

Also, most places charge between $150 and $250 for Design time; I do believe that whoever takes time to design it should get something, be it $5 or $10 per Jersey sold, whatever. It can be a tiring job and a thankless one sometimes, especially when people are bickering over designs.

Feel free to start designing... The final design will be approved by the owners of the site.. (dbug, Big Daddy, Mutt, Outlaw, and Gwaltinator)

I would say the timeless jersey would be the most sensible option in this case. This is the PEOG, and no matter what Eclipse develops in the future, it will still be a forum for the Planet Eclipse Marker Owner. And I agree with whatever number someone would like they can have, even if that means we all choose #1 for some strange reason. I also don't see any reason to put rank, title, etc anywhere on them.

Agreed, something simple would work best.
