So I've been playing with my Ego X trigger for the last few days, and I've gotten it to the point that I can rip on it semi. (as well as putting a small idiot mark on the frame on an otherwise flawless finish :( )
My question is, is there supposed to be a large amount of side to side play on the trigger? I have the magnet set to about a third of full tension, but the trigger wobbles from side to side quite a bit.
It still feels pretty nice, but I'm used to having pretty much a straight front to back trigger pull.
Is there a spring I should adjust inside the grip frame or anything?
I can't say anything about the EGOX; but I know my ETEK2 frame has a large amount of side play on the trigger; while my star frame doesn't. Because of that, I would assume the EGOX shouldn't; but the amount of play is truly relative too, so in your opinion my star frame may have TONS of side play while I thikn it's got none.

Thanks Rev! Yeah, I really do think that, even relatively, the side to side play is pretty massive D:

There should be zero side to side play to my knowledge. My 09 has none, and my 11 has none. Take the frame off and take the trigger out and see if something is out of place or looks worn.

D'oh. Alrighty, I'll open her up tonight, as well as scour the manual some more.

I guess similarly my ETEK frame could have something worn or just be built inferior in comparison to the full EGOs [see SP ION]

I'm reading the manual at work, and I guess there is a set screw that holds the trigger itself into the bearing assembly. I've got an inkling suspicion that it's loose..The previous owner never used it, but probably never cleaned it after he got it from the original owner either.
This'll be a good learning experience methinks, I just hope there aren't any parts missing.

Yup, the retaining screw for the trigger pin was loose, and the pin was sliding freely from side to side! Took em out, cleaned them, put a teeeeny bit of blue loctite on the screw and snugged it down.
Trigger feels phenomenal now...by far the fastest, snappiest trigger I've ever used.
Thanks for the help guys! I'm glad to know I can take care of my baby now :D
