Saw this thread over on PBN. Normally I take it with a grain of salt, but the message from Jack Wood on FB kinda puts the nail in the coffin.

Didnt the Geo2 come out last year? It would be one more year if they stay with the cycle. This year would be a new etek. Correct?

I'm just hoping it will maybe be a very late winter/early spring release instead of at Cup. I doubt that is the case, but I'm hoping.

That really sucks but it just means it's going to be that much better when it comes out..

That's what I'm liking about the whole doing away with the yearly releases. I couldn't care less about resale value of my markers, as I don't really have any desire to sell them. But the fact that Eclipse is giving themselves more time to put out an even better product at release time is what I'm looking forward to about this. Hopefully there will be another new marker next year.

I'm glad about it.....I also couldn't care less about resale value but want them to focus on better products for the cost. 2013....the year of Planet Eclipse.

Well, now that it's confirmed, and I've fallen in love with my Geo 2 again, where's the best place to see all the 2.1 colors?

For colors that Eclipse offers, http://www.planeteclipse.com/site/paintball_markers/geo21

For other colors, check a few places like http://warpedsportz.com/planeteclipse-5.aspx and www.ansgear.com.

I'm bummed because I was hoping they would get into a cycle of alternating Geos and Egos. That way a new one comes out every other year and I can buy them all lol

I could tell you were impressed with the Geo2. Good luck finding a color you like.

Now, if they would just put out a .681 back and carbon Shaft 4 tips...!

I was spectacle initially about the geo at first. I hated the looks and thought it looked like crap. The only thing that sold me on it, was the performance in all truth. Compactness, feel of it, and feel are great on it. The looks have grown on me over the usage from when Mongo let me run his and I got to run Crazies Vicious at the Goonies. A great marker and I love it but as I told Greekbull, its a marker where you love it or hate it. Greekbull not a fan but two each is own.

I like the compactness, but I don't like the way it shoots. I did have the chance to run Hoot's at WP while he was teching the Lady, and it was an incredible marker, but just like my 08 better.

I have to say, I'm glade to hear that there not making a gun every year, to me it is like a band that makes a new cd every year to me there not that great when they do that, but a band that takes a few years to make new music is a a greater band. I hope they would come back with the autococker format for 2012, like a dc3 electric and/or pump style. I think it would bring up the market for the autocockers, and it would be a different style of gun from a open bolt and spool gun.
