i just bought an ego10 (havent used it as yet..) and started reading the manual. there are warnings all over the place about degasing the marker before you perform any sort of maintenance etc

can someone tell me how you degas the marker? this doesnt appear to be covered in the manual. as someone new to electronic markers i don't want to blow my face off or anything

It will degas on its own when you turn off the air to the marker.

Basically don't work on the marker with it gassed up. Take the tank off the marker and work on it then. Do not shoot the air out, it's not good for the marker.

Dbug beat me.

Degassed means no air tank attached to the gun.

you may want to wait a minute or two after you remove the air for the reg to vent any air left over as well. i found out the hard way...zick 2 rammer airborne! thank god i wasnt looking down the marker at it!

1 - Unscrew the knob on your ASA
2 - Unscrew the tank from the marker
3 - wait five minutes to let any sealed gas in your LPR escape

Follow these three steps and you should be good to go.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!
