I was just wondering if anyone had experience with the custom products 07/08 ego trigger. I'm looking to get a new one, because the trigger that came on my ego is missing some set screws, and just isn't quite to my taste.

My question is basically, are they any good? Is there side play? How is the spring return vs the magnet return? How "crisp" does it feel?

Basically, I'm just looking for kind of a "I like it because _____."

If you don't like it, let me know why. If you have a different suggestion of a trigger to look at, don't hesitate.

Hopefully I'll get some responses from someone on this.

Edit: also, will the 07 cp trigger fit the 08 ego? I've seen that a lot of them do, but it doesn't say. I'd hate to buy it and have it not fit at all.

CP makes good products, but you may also want to check out the Violent Triggers. Anything with a rollerbearing trigger is going to be great. The loss of side to side play makes the trigger pull super smooth and very crisp. I prefer the fang/blade style triggers personally. I'm probably going to be getting one for my marker here shortly.

alright, thanks for the input...i figured that the roller bearing would help. Violent is something i also have my eye on. I have just found a cp trigger that i can get shipped for about a total of $40, vs. $55. I was just trying to figure out if the violent's are worth the extra $15 or so.

Violent triggers are made of Delrin (plastic) just so you know. Never heard anything bad about them though.

I am a fan of the stock Ego7 triggers myself, so I would suggest going the cheap route first and buy some replacement trigger set screws. They can be bought here (http://paintballshowcase.com/planeteclipsetriggersetscrew-setof4.aspx) cheaply.
