Ok, yesterday I was playing fine for a few hours, then all of a sudden I break a ball, and another, and another, so I take off my barrel to clean it and put it back on. I'm still breaking, I stick my finger past the breach and feel a little rim/burr extruding from the chamber or whatever you want to call it. I go to the staging area and feel someone elses and they don't have it. How could I have gotten it? My Ego isn't registered, could that be a problem if I try to send it back to be repaired?
snap a picture please if you can
I would remove eye covers, clean the eyes with alcohol and a q-tip then remove and replace if you can, the detents, and clean those openings out as well. could be something stupid like something stuck in those openings which could be the burr

I'll get a pic when I clean it tomorrow.
It's not by the eyes, it's right where the chamber goes from paintball sized to "milled for a barrel" size.
hmmm thats strange, let me do some thinking to figure it out
my initial thought is one of those FINE round files to de-burr it, but let me make a call tomorrow.
without it registered within the 14days of purchase I can make promises, but I will make a call for ya.

Thanks.
Also, someone told me at the field that by law, I don't have to register something to get the warranty on it if it has a serial number, is that true?
Thanks.

Yes you do have to register for warranty. If you dont then you arent covered. They give a timeline to register so that by law they have to fix it. failure to register ANYTHING beyond the date stated by a manufacturer will void warranties
2 main reasons why to register
#1 verifys it was purchased from an authorized dealer
#2 Verifys it still falls under the first year.
#3 and if you register within 14 days, it validates the purchase, so a brake that falls under operator error, not by factory fault is covered, not...3 months after purchase, you screw something up, then register it, and 3 days later contact saying its messed up.
without, then there is nothing to say it isnt a stolen marker, or someone else bought it over a year ago and even if it wasnt used, would be out of warranty....since non auth dealers are the same as the average joe, in which their purchase begins the 1yr point, however an auth dealer is a reseller and the warranty starts from the point a CUSTOMER buys it.

Damn, that sucks, I guess I don't have any warranty then.
I spoke to Lance a master tech, he said your good, just go to eclipse and online register it asap, and you'll be covered, the SL74 is the last of the cutoff for registering.
then give him a call and he will take care of you.
Register FIRST then call 888-759-2578
I told him you had an Issue I couldnt answer and hes expecting your call after you register it

yeah it was like $120 or right around there. He said he might be able to rebuild the front. I'm going to talk to a local shop that specializes in Egos before I send it off, because the cheaper the better seeing as its a back up right now ;)

Called him today, he said it could fix it. I'm shipping it to him tomorrow. Thanks!
Shipping this, do I insure it for what it's worth used or what I paid new? I heard someone say that the PO only pays book value of the used insured product?
insure it for what you paid, that way there is no question

Speaking of this. I got a SL8R that still has the warranty card in the manual. Is it too late for me to register it?

Like Sideshow said register it but make sure you put in the date it was originally purchased new because they keep track of it, when I registered my 09 I put in the month I recieved it, since I bought it a week before the end of the month or so, it wouldnt accept it so make sure you know the orignal purchase date, but they keep track of the serial #.
