I have a Etek II with Star Frame. Now that being said I'm new to PE markers and understand that they are very reliable but what spare parts are a must to carry and which are good to have just in case. I like to be prepared if something happens.

Just your tools and a few basic o-rings and a couple essentials

Ghillie_55 has a website that he and I piggybacked on an order of o-ring kits, and each kit cost a buck, and contained enough o-rings to rebuild 3 times.

I have enough o-rings to rebuild 53 markers....lol

That, marker oil, vaseline or eclipse grease, perhaps a set of eyes, some ball detents, and some macro line

I would also have a couple QEV Diaphragms and this isn't really a spare part, but also have extra batteries.

Next time someone is hitting up that site I would love to go in and get a set of rings for my 05. I just have an issue spending $1 on parts and then $4 on shipping when it can easily be shipped in an envelope for $0.42.

Dont order 1. Order 5-10. Each pack includes 3 rebuilds. So if you buy 5 packs at one dollar, you can rebuild every oring in your marker 15 times!

Get a few macroline pieces while your at it too. They have those for a dollar.

OK, good idea on the bulk qtys of the rings. About the macro...Lee (DeadBox_337) got 12ft of macro from our pro-shop manager when he just didn't want to have that big of a roll laying around, so we're more than covered there!

I also ordered from the place that had cheap oring kits. I rebuilt my marker this weekend for the first time. I was really impressed. The kit have EVERY oring I needed. For a dollar, even the high shipping cost was worth it. As far as fixing the gun on the field, I've never had to. So, I mostly just bring basic tools and some oil. Same as what everyone else says. Oh, and the star frame instruction manual. In case I need to adjust any of the programing.

I just checked out this place and then saved it under the Favorites folder.

Thanks for the heads up on this site, they do have quite a bit of stuff under the $1 banner. This will make get any "spare parts" much easier.

yeah no problem man i orderd a couple oring kits from them from my other guns and he sends them free shipping i couldnt believe that for only a $10 order you get free shipping and the oring kits comes in a little zip lock bag with individual sealed rebuild kits inside of it and an oring sizing chart

Has anyone ordered from Macroline Guy? He has macroline listed at $1, which I am ASSUMING is per foot. What I'm wondering is . . . if I order 5 @ $1 each, do I get a five foot roll or 5 individual pieces?

haha im in the same situation apon trying to re adjust my macroline system on my new deliverd etek2 i cut the line too short and now i need to replace it,i am about to buy some from macroline guy but the inner diameter of his line is .162 while the stock that came on my etek2 is .125 i am worried that the increased inner diameter of his stuff will put too much pressure on my regulator since my tanks output pressure is at 850 psi

PEOG

Your fine with output pressure of the tank and a larger ID macro

i just bought a macroline from my local shop that has an eaven smaller inner diameter as the stock etek2 macro line and its much easier to bend is that allright

$1 per rebuild: http://www.paintballgateway.com/dollar.html

Someone else mentioned earlier in this thread about macroline, they have it on that page too.

the cheapest shipping offerd is priority mail for $6.60 that brings your total to $7.60 for $7.00 you can get 3 rebuilds shipped free from oring monkey

PEOG
09-09-2009, 08:56 PM
yeah but I can get 10 sets for 16.60...thats 30 rebuilds

Jedi Yeti

If your buying just orings, then an oring site may be worth cheking out. But with just a little planning ahead you can add a bunch of these $1 rebuilds to your yearly, semi-annual, however often order. Then shipping doesn't really matter. Especially if you spend over $99, then you get free shipping from them too.

yeah man your right i just did the math i can get 20 rebuild kits for the etek2 from paintball gateway for $32.31 shipped while i added up 3 of the 10x rebuild kits from oring monkey with gives you a total of 20 rebuild kits also but the price is $45 shipped looks like i will get them there from now on

i am looking at the rebuild kit from gateway and i see only one oring that is a size of its own?so how does each kit give you 3 rebuilds if as im looking at the layout of the kit i see one oring that is not the same as any other size oring in the kit, wouldnt that mean that this is a single rebuild for $1.00? or am i missing something?..lol

What do you think about the parts kit they sell in the Planet Eclipse online store? It has more than just orings. Here's a LINK (http://www.planeteclipse.com/site/prodView.asp?prodID=2873)

thanks yeah i bought one of those its a nice little kit that has the important things allong side the orings like a spare poppit and guide

So should I get that or is it a better deal to go with oring monkey?

I remember someone saying they were concerned that oring monkey's sizes were not accurate enough.

sharpshooter
12-14-2009, 03:44 PM
well i learned from some other guys here that the best bet is paintball gateway $1.00 for i think it was enough orings for 3 rebuilds as i was told i think..yeah you could get the planet eclipse rebuild kit but a have like 12 cases through my gun and only needed the orings so far you could save yourself $50 and just get the orings for now and by the spare poppit and guide as needed since i have not needed them yet

i checked out paintball gateway and while the $1 bargain page was nice, i found that their shipping was outrageous for the items i'd selected and that it was actually cheaper to use compulsive paintball for what i was buying.

also, PE's in-house tech told me that i should only use their o-rings b/c they're precise and their quality control measures are better. he said you can use whatever you like, but that anything else is hit or miss. i'm not sayin'...i'm just sayin'...

sharpshooter
12-14-2009, 03:52 PM
yeah thats what i noticed too..but was told to order a bunch of orings when i was able to make a big order so the shipping balanced out and stuff..but i know what you mean

I heard the same thing from pe about o rings, they are a premium grade. If you are going to own the marker for a while then the comp parts kit is a good idea. It saves you money if you add up all the things that it has in it. Also you can be sure that you can fix almost any problem any time. I would stick with pe products after the troubles I have had with aftermarket. You may get 3 times as many cheap but is that better than one you know works?
