View Full Version : SL94 Tuning LPR
Suspect

Hey, I want to tune my marker for lower rate of fire and a softer shot. In new zealand we are limited to semi auto only and most tournaments are capped at 12.5 bps so i don't need a high ROF anyways.
I have limited experiance but technical minded.
questions:
1. What do I need to adjust to get a softer shot and lower rate of fire?
2. Do I really need an LPR tester to adjust the LPR?
3. Do i need to adjust the dwell much if at all?
4. I already have the high pressure valve guide installed, is this correct?
All help appreciated!

1. LPR, and switch to the LP valve. You can also dwell tune the gun.
2. No you do not need the LPR gauge gauge tool to adjust the LPR
3. You will need to follow standard dwell tuning, there is a perfect guide on this site. I'm on my laptop with out a mouse so atm I'm too lazy to dig up the link, if someone else doesn't post it I will later
4. No, you want the LP guide installed. the HP guide will mean better efficiency
Try stock dwell with the LPR 1.5 - 2 turns in from flush and use this with the LP valve guide, see how this impacts your shots, chrono to make sure you are still in acceptable tolerances. I have my Ego9 set at 2 turns in from flush and stock dwell and it shoots fantastic.
If you don't have the plank kit already installed in your marker, make sure you get this. Paintball showcase has the parts if you don't have them.
If you can't find a smoothness you like, you may wish to switch to the Geo :D

Hrmm, dang I've read so much of this on PBN that it's all blending together, but I wanna say that increasing either the dwell or the LPR was supposed to have a softer touch on paint but lower efficiency?
