Well i sold my 05 ego awhile back and have not been in here for awhile.Im looking into buying another marker soon and want the etek 3.Im thinking of going with the lt because it will be easier on my wallet. So is there a better feeling trigger for it,and will the cure 3 and zik kit be all thats needed for this marker as far as upgrades? On my 05 it had a virtue board and adjustable ram cap, will i get similar performance out of the etek 3 lt?

The Etek3 is a great choice. But, how set are you on buying a new marker? For the same price as a new Etek3 you can get an Ego8, which most will agree is a better marker. You won't be disappointed with an Etek by any means, but I'm just making suggestions.

I have an Etek3 and I love it. I did have some chopping issues that the cure3 fixed and I would recommend an Emortal or Tadao board for easier setup and control. If you could find an Ego8 I would recommend that. The Etek is a nice shooting marker, but it's not an Ego.

Ahhh ok. That makes sense. Then yes, the Etek3 is a fantastic choice. Like Reeko said, get yourself the Cure3+ ( a Pooty modded one is a good choice, check PBN) and save up for the AM kit and a new board later on.

etek3 is a marker you wont regret playing with, right out of the box.. Just as with any other PE marker..

It is since the ETek3 stock trigger is not a roller bearing trigger and the Violent Series is. This is one improvement where you can instantly tell the difference.
Just so you know, you can upgrade to the APE OLED board for your LT without having to first install the AM Upgrade package. I have one on mine and it rocks!

I believe the APE board will cost you fewer Samolians as well. Am I correct tigar?

Indeed you are!
Cheaper than the Emmortal board but at the cost of not being able to use PE's grips. Since the OLED display is in the left grip, a set of SPD grips are needed and are available from APE's website. If you go this route, I would highly recommend also getting SPD's rubber finger wraparound option to give you an even better grip.

I wish APE would make a LED board for the Etek3! I don't need the screen and I want to keep my grips!

And see this is the whole reason why I waited and just bought the Ego09 that way I wouldn't have to figure out boards, grips, triggers, and everything else. So I'm trying to comepute all this together with price of the eteck3 and all the upgrades he is looking into isn't he going to be spending the same it would cost for an Ego10.

I'm not trying to discurage anyone. The eteck is an awsome marker you can't go wrong with a PE choice. I was just wondering about the over all $ range. They droped the price on the 10s now that the 11s are out or they will here shortlly. So I was just wondering.

one quick question for anyone that could answer it for me... if you take the ape oled board, would you be able to cut the hole in the stock grips for the screen? I really like the stock grips, and it would be really nice to keep them, and still get the advantage of an oled board. I dont want the upgrade enough to shell out the money for an AM kit (i have an lt) plus emortal board, and i dont even know if i'd utilize it enough to justify getting rid of the very nice stock grips. Maybe in the future i'll have to bite the bullet, but it'd be nice to know if this were possible before i made any decision for sure on what i want to do. Thanks for any answers.

I have a store credit so it wont be costing me full price for the etek3.

I know a lot of people have been thinking about this (myself included) but if they screw up, replacement PE grips are not cheap.
We're all just waiting for someone who has successfully done it to post up a "how to." Will it be you? ;)
