Is the SL74 a upgrade or a downgrade from an ETEK2 with star frame, zick kit, and cure 2 bolt?

Someone wants to do a trade + cash from me

An SL74 is basicly an 08 ego. I think thats what Sideshow was saying at the game.

The SL74 was basically remilled becoming the 08 ego, correct.

It depends on how much cash he wants in trade with the etek

I haven't had much experience with SL's, but generally, people claim that an SL shoots better than the next years stock Ego. So, and SL74 supposedly shoots better than an '08. However, with all the revisions in the 2009 series, the opposite may be true. Have only shot a SL8R and '09 once, and the time frame was a while apart so I couldn't compare.

09's a complete re-vamp of the 08's regardless of the SL. Its a new entity all together with little if ANY backwards compatable parts, etc

I do not believe the red w/ silver parts is the stock anno color for any Dark SL74.

quick correction to sideshow, white w/ red parts would be the dark SL74 in Vampire colors :D

Depending on the amount of cash, you should do it.

I've not spent any length of time with an 08, but I can tell you the 74 will be an infinite improvement over the star'd Etek2

Love mine! And it (pics here in the pic section) is basicaly an 08...just has a few extras not in the 08. Look at the desciptions of internals and compare, they put a little ummmph into the SL's and Havok is right, the 74's started something great for PE.
The original post was way back and I saw this marker up for sale recently, am I correct?
There is a spot in PBN's ego section where you can see the rarity of most ego's and the dark 74's are 1 of 20 if I remember correctly.
