So I played with my new Ego8 today and had an awesome time, it was shooting great all day, though I noticed I couldn't get it to shoot above 270, but I figured I'd deal with it later.

Well I come home to figure it out and I noticed it's leaking from the grip frame, so I assume it's either the solenoid or QEV. I'm new to this marker, just got it today, so I'm not sure where and what exactly I should look at first. I hate replacing random things that are fine to find out you still have the problem.

Funny enough, this similar thing happened to my dad's Vice after the first time he used it, haha.

Thanks :)

Its it BNIB or was it pre-owned.

Does it have the stock rubber grips on it, or aftermarket panel grips?

BNIB, stock grips. Yeah I'm going to check if it was the screws being in to far, but it might be something else.

The way to see if the screws are in too far, is to take the connectors off the board for the noid and eyes, and remove the frame, if there are scratches on side of noid, the screws then are pushing the noid and its not holding the air. try first, with board exposed and hooked up.....air it up then lightly push on the noid, then air it up again and see if that "wiggle" sets it in place better thus stopping the leak. If it doesn't, then check for those scratches on the noid.

REGISTER THE EGO!!!!! That way the parts are covered under the warranty and will be swapped out.

Could also be a QEV issue... Leaky valve (bad o-ring) maybe... Most common problem seems to be the overtightened grips though.

It could be several things.
Noid damage as sideshow mentioned.
Over pressurized noid.
QEV issue. (generally diaphragm related)
Or the LP hoses inside could be damaged/cracked/loose.

Check those one should fix it ;)

The hoses seem fine, the rammer O-rings and the LPR seems to be in perfect condition, I'm thinking it's the QEV. I tried taking it apart and after I took the retaining clips out I couldn't take out the little plugs to check the diaphragms :( I sure hope Eclipse has techs available to the public at HB.

I also hope I can use it at our team's first tourney April 11th, haha.

Wait, you took parts off the noid? If you attempted to take apart the noid, you just screwed it. The noid is not a user servicable part, if there are issues with it even techs send it in.....

No...I didn't even touch the noid, lol.
