Well, I had a game sceduled for here at the homestead, only a couple showed so we went 2 on 2. One fellow teammate, my son( who is another teammate) and one of his friends who does not play.
We played pump mostly with the newb using a Virtued Ion to make it even ( I gogged him 5 games with Karrie!) and all was fun and good. I get down to 2 pods of paint left and said I wanted to try the SL74 out a bit. UHHH, the fellow teammates said after I have been pretty dominant all afternoon. "OK", said my son, " you take the newb and I get my Ion". Sure I replied. My son is good with his baby, but he never practices and plays rarely.
So we start and and we have the top side, they try a rush and conquer technique but stay behind good bunkers. I see one head popping up and the other is not quite on line but I am able to shoot at both with my angle. I put about 4 on the first guy, and he quickly got out of the way. My son knew where I was and we traded snaps a bit then I put 3 on his mask and 2 more on his shoulder! I only have this beauty in semi mode at the moment and do not know much about setting it up, but oh man is it fast!
We swapped sides and the game lasted a bit longer, the newb even got to shoot a few and took my son out. I did not know this at the time as I was flanking my man and holding him in most of the time, he took 3 down the leg. I cannot wait to get more shooting time in and learn a bit about the modes so I can blast away. My son can roll it in semi, me not so well. I shoot better lefty and since I broke my left wrist back in the mid 90's I have limited finger movement. Now I can do better righty at rolling it, but my aim is at about 75% I still out aim my son either way, he needs to practice as I said and I believe he would be a dominant player.
All in all it was good to try my new baby out, just have to get used to such a soft trigger. It was my second time out shooting at folks with her, so not enough time in for a name yet....maybe after PBC Charleston.
