Personally, I really like the Ashes one, but that looks really good. Probably more practical for me since I play in the woods.
Damn that is sexy, liking that combat green..

got to shoot a Geo2 over the weekend and it was noticably smoother than the Geo (w/GR2 and GST). i like the ergonomics of it and it was incredibly light, too. overall its a nice marker.

I, too, had the opportunity to put 20 or so rounds through one. It is much, much better than the first Geo and this one certainly wasn't broken in yet. It could sway me away from Macdev if anyone wants to do a straight trade for one:tongue:

i dont know that i liked it enough to give up my DM6, but it was certainly the best shooting PE marker i have shot (and i have shot a couple of them... LOL).

i would need more time with it than just the few shots i got to take with it to really say anything one way or the other about it. i really couldnt tell you anything about its consistency or accuracy as compared to other markers i have owned b/c i only got to shoot a few rounds through it. however, it wasnt hard to tell that it is a lot smoother and a lot quieter than my Geo w/GR2 and GST. i also was quite pleased with how it felt and that it was so light. is it worth the $1200 people are fetching for them? not to me it isnt, but its a nice marker in spite of its price tag.
Mine has been paid for and waiting for it to be shipped from PE. Since theyre still largely shipping from the production line, will be a few weeks.
Cant wait for her to show up.

i'd say it was worth the wait over the Geo/Geo+, Hoot. still unclear if the new Geo2 drivetrain will work with the original Geo, but if it will then that's a cost-saving alternative/

Some of the early testers had the Geo2 drivetrain and bolt assembly in their Geo frame. However, I would bet it is going to be a long time before PE releases it as a stand alone upgrade.
Also, ditto to Hoot's comment. :)

well when i rec'd my first combat geo2,it seemed there was an anno imperfection, close to the feed neck by the serial number. so being the snob that i am, i sent it back for one with no blemish... i just recently got our geo 2's (tony's and mine)we had on the wish list for so long.. he got a midnight and we decided to swap colors..
these arent the actual pics but this is what they look like, minus the black out screw kits i installed on them... enjoy fellaz

yeah, i'd guess it'll be at least a year and maybe two before they'll allow people to purchase Geo2 drive trains. i get the idea behind it, but i dont agree with it at all and i think its kinda busch league. Dye and Bob Long will allow you to purchase any part you need regardless of the year model. and while MacDev drivetrains arent compatible between different models anyone can buy newer versions of valves and bolts for any of their markers. however, it works for PE and they dont consult me on their business strategies, so it is what it is...

I think it's two reasons they don't have the geo2 bolt out as an aftermarket option. 1 could be a supply problem, from what I have seen they are getting the geo 2 out a lil slow so there may not be enough parts to offer it as an option. 2 if you sold the geo 2 bolt as an option now they would sell alot less of the geo 2. People who own a gen 1 would just get the bolt instead of spending 1200 on a new marker. Granted the geo 2 has several other changes but the bolt is the largest along with the new ergos.

im happy with my + as is but I wouldn't turn away a free upgrade "cough"
I watched a video of a plus shooting next to a geo 2 and the sound is not that dif. The only big jump would be in eff. but I still haven't seen anyone post how much better the 2 is over the gen 1 version.
Ill wear a sobe shirt as payment :D just think it will be like a mobil billboard. That's not a man its a space station mu ha ha ha

What color combo did you opt for? If you say white and red then I'm going to be very jealous of you.

First post here, came over from the A5 side. I am very patiently waiting for my Geo2 to come in from pe. Got to shoot one last wednsday and it is sweeeet. Put probably 600 shots or so through one. Gonna be a huge step up from the phenom i was using.

What's up The Nugg!
I am in the same boat as you, somewhat. Started out with an X7, switched to an Invert Mini as my prime...and then I sold the X7 and completed my metamorphisis to the darkside with an Etek3.
Then I got spoiled with that Etek3, sold the Mini, and am waiting for my Geo2 tracking number.
Which color combo did you go with?

Well i told the shop I preferred to get combat, but would be more than happy with midnight. It should be in by the end of the month. Im hoping its in before myrtle beach, I dont particularly want to be the only guy out there for SSK besides the pumpers not rockin a PE Gat. Mostly i just want to play with a new toy though lol. Just a few more weeks and countin.

Nice one there. Custom anno or PE Factory? If PE Factory anno, how did you get them to do it.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm seeing its a team anno....right?
On another note, got my hands on a Geo 2 today. No paint but got to fondle it. So nice, can't wait for mine. Trigger felt great, buttons feel better than my Ego10, just overall a great marker.
I'm kinda hearing back and forth things about Anno....since I'm sending off the small parts and such, wanna make sure it doesn't void warranty or anything.

Nice looking marker! As soon as I saw the colors I looked for the Dark jewel.
Care to share the story behind why you chose that specific color combo?
For me, the vampire (white & red) is a personal fav.
sharkethic86
08-08-2010, 12:55 AM
Not much to it really.. my EGOX was a vampire and I wasn't terribly thrilled with the shade of red that PE used (altho now i see the Dark GEO2 has a much brighter red), and orange just seemed a little more different and flashy to me.. not often do you see orange markers.. also schemes that incorporate white tend to look very crisp, not to mention a white barrel tip will show less anno wear than any other color

LOL, I thought it was orange and pale blue.
Are you going to swap out the macroline as well for a different color?
sharkethic86
08-08-2010, 12:56 PM
yea my window was open so the white kind of got washed out to a light blue but it's white. if i can find some orange macroline maybe but some black accenting around doesn't look bad at all

Personally, I really like the Ashes one, but that looks really good. Probably more practical for me since I play in the woods.
I play quite a bit in the woods. My Ego09 is Fire, jersey&pants are red and black, Events red&black with red plaid ear pieces, and a red fasta hopper. Its all good. These things are loud enough that no matter what the color is everyone is going to know where you are as soon as you pull the trigger, so why hide. I figure that it works better to charge right up the middle fireing like a mad man and yelling like a banshie! You'd be amazed what happens. Most people are so shocked by this they don't know what to do. Its a lot of fun! Try it and let me know if it, ya might be supprised!
