View Full Version : 1st Annual Canadian Meet And Greet Game
As posted by Priest on the OSF forum:
As Regional Commander of the Canadian Juno Rifles, of the Operator Strike Force, I am pleased to announce that the 1st Annual Canadian Meet and Greet game will be held at Battlecry Wargames, in Brandon, Manitoba.
The date set for this game is August 14, 2010. Pricing details are under discussion right now, and will be posted once everything has been finalized.
Though the game is primarily directed at Canadian Operators, anyone from the OG's, as well as non-OG members are more than welcome to attend. Currently, the game is scheduled for one day, but if the numbers and/or enthusiasm dictates otherwise, the game could be expanded to two days.
General questions can be posted here, and I will do my best to answer them. Keep an eye on this thread for updated information.

A question was brought up on another OG forum about markers, and hoppers. For the meet and greet, any marker, and any loader is acceptable. If you have pumps, pistols, electros, mechanical.........whatever; it is allowed.
If someone has one of those Airbows, I would love to see one of those in action.
Hope this clears up at least 2 questions :thumbs up:

Anyone feel like giving me a round-trip ticket for my b-day so I can attend. :)
LOL, JK! Wish you guys the best, and hopefully this is the first of many Canadian M&G's, so that I can make one in the future and see all my Northern brothers. :)

Brief update here:
The event will be from August 14, to August 15 (Saturday and Sunday). We realize that it's not practical for people to drive a long distance only to turn around in a couple of hours to return home.
CONFIRMED DETAILS:
1. Date is August 14/15; location Battlecry Wargames in Brandon, Manitoba.
2. Time is from 8:00 a.m Saturday, to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
3. Registration is $125 - this includes (but may not be limited to)
a) registration for the event
b) 1 case of paint ( brand not finalized). Field Paint only for this event.
c) air all weekend (or nitrogen). There are likely some who still have CO2 tanks, and there will be CO2 at the field as well
4. Extra cases of paint will be available for $70 per case
5. The games will be designed by Devil's Legion, and ref's will be provided by the host, as well as members of Devil's Legion.
6. Bathroom facilities will be provided
UNCONFIRMED DETAILS (but stuff we are working on)
1. Limited number of camping spots on the field owner's property. This may or may not be possible. If not, there will be a list of options available (other campgrounds, hotels close by, etc)
2. Night game(s) This would depend on the field owner, and his neighbors. There would be a time limit for the games.
3. BBQ for the players. Either at the field, or a get together at one of the restaurants in Brandon.
MARKERS AND MARKER RESTRICTIONS
1. ANY paintball marker is usable, as long as it fires either a .68 cal ball, or a .43 cal ball. That being said, I will need to know how many people plan on bringing .43 markers to the game.
2. No homemade ordinance (rocket launchers, mortars, etc) Commercially made ones are fine. They must meet the velocity requirements below.
3. Velocity will be maximum 290 fps. Markers will be chrono'd throughout the day.
4. Pumps and pistols are encouraged. If there is enough interest, and enough markers for it, a pump only game, or skill competition might happen
This is by no means a complete list of rules/guidelines for the game. More will be posted once they are confirmed.
Any questions, either pm me here, or on one of the other OG forums.
