View Full Version : Krez' Ego Ten
Well now that everything is situated I finally got my Ten. Let me say its a pleasure to move to the darkside. While the X7 Phenom was a decent marker (for a tippmann) it has nothing on a PE marker. Enjoy!!

looks like a "10" to me :D
Its my first PE marker too. Just tryin to break it in and get it tuned. My wife is a little jealous too...haha.
Looks awesome man, congrats!
Thanks Mutt. Just wondering if 10 cases is enough of a break-in period for it?

I'd say 10 cases is plenty. Enjoy every one of them!
One more question...Is it worth replacing the board? I also saw that DarthSideshow was doing a review on the Techt Hush bolt...Any updates?
I would shoot it just as you bought it. Planet Eclipse makes awesome markers and the 10 is supposed to be the best so far (haven't heard anyone's review on the SLS yet). I don't think you'd see a lot of inprovement or enough that would justify upgrading anything other than the blackout screws, macro fittings, and all that you said you're doing on X7OG. Just shoot that bad boy and light the suckers up!!!
That's what i've been hearing. Thanks Mutt!! Hope to see ya at the Meet and Greet.

That's one bad ass looking marker. I'm just a bit on the "Damn Krez, I'm jealous!" side. But not for long I hope.
If you can grab an ego or and etek. Best decision you could ever make.
I should be there if you're talking about the one in Sept. at LCP. Be good to meet you.
Very nice marker. I have no doubts you will enjoy it

i cant imagine why in the world you would want to replace the board. also, i have heard that the hush bolt is a waste of money, and i got that from someone i trust, but to each his/her own.
thats a beauty, krez... two words for ya, though... blackout kit! :rep4u:
I was just wondering if its worth it to replace the board. To the top Blackout kit pic added.

Hey Krez I have a Ego Ten as well and I wouldn't recommend changing a thing on it. On my previous ego 8 I've tried the virtue oled board and a friend has tried the tadao board about but it's not really that much better than the ego ten stock board. I mean sure its has more customization and more firing modes but most fields or scenario games I go to are all semi auto play anyways and then for xball we usually get to run psp mode which all boards come with stock so I'd say keep it all stock until your board dies or something and then decide if you want to change your board to another company's.
That's what I was thinkin but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Got the macro line fittings coming from Ninja today. She's coming together. Now just a name. Lol

First of Nice marker Krez!
Secondly, I agree with everyone else on this one. I had a chance to run with Furby's EgoT when he got it and I'd have to say that thing shoots like butter just they way it is. No since in trying to upgrade, PE does a great job setting it up so that you don't have to. Either way nice choice of marker...welcome to the darkside brother.

almost... still have some shiny macroline fittings on there and a shiny torpedo, too...
Yea just got the macro line fittings today from ninja...still tryin to get the originals off. lol Im gonna leave the torpedo as is.
I learned from experience to be VERY careful. Use a vice and don't force it, you can break the fitting INSIDE the threads and that will pretty much be impossible to get out.
If you have access to a good hair dryer, let it sit aimed at the fittings for a few minutes to heat up the loctite
It was a pain to get the old macroline fittings off but did without incident. Im done with Shadow for good. and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for the hair dryer advice Hoot!
