Wow...OK...sorry for the cheesy movie line, I couldn't help it.

So, this is mainly to ask what your favorite Reg is to use on the Egos. I have just recently picked up an '05 with a CP on it. I was wondering if that would be good to keep with, or should I look to go with something better?

I really like the overall looks of the stock reg, but I didn't know if it was worth dumping the CP or not.

Or, are there other brands that you prefer?

the cp should be fine unless you plan on going to some form of aka product.

I saw the tank thread but it didn't really answer the question about an on-gun reg. I like the CP (I have on one my pump), but I didn't know if there was something better out there.

i run hype 2 or cp on mine... with a cp tank and it sings

CP regulators are decent regs, and as long as it works you can stick with it.
My personal preferance for Egos is either the stock reg on the newer models or the Star reg on the 05/06 models.

The star reg looks good with the milling and has a swivel, and is built off of the same technology as Eclipse's other HPR's.

I honestly prefer the stock reg over any of the aftermarket. I have used a CP reg on one before, and it did not give me any noticeable difference over the stock, and to be honest....it sticks out like a sore thumb and looks rather ugly.

I truly believe the stock regs on the 08's and up are just as good as any aftermarket reg, and its a waste of money to put one on.

Yeah, see that's what I was thinking SideShow. I like the look of the stock reg but then gun I just bought has a CP on it.

So, I guess I might look around for a stock black reg, especially if there isn't any noticable differences in performance.

I am a HUGE fan of the Dye Hyper regs. Otherwise, the stock reg has given me no problems. Nothing Palmer I've bought has ever worked. I haven't bought into the CP hype. From my experience, they are either on not as good as, or on par with the OEM.

Stock reg does the job fine. Shot consistancy is +/- 2-3fps so I'm happy with that.

run the stock reg. when the first cp regs came out they had problems i dont know how they are now though. when i worked at my friends shop we had to replace and repair quite a few of the first cp regs.
