So I just realized that they'res alot of woodsballers from the OG's here, and there will soon be alot of speedball guys here too. You know how it goes, somebody mentions "woodsball" or "speedball" and there's all of a sudden a Hatfield vs. McCoy fued. Not trying to throw fuel on the fire btw, just curious.

I voted no. Lets see if the poll actually sparks the said discussion......

And although, healthy debate is invited, disrespect and negative nancys won't be tolerated. It's been my experience that when you firmly set the rules for your house people tend to follow. A small handful will ultimately leave, but in the long run that is best for the community...for the house.

Exactly. All of us Mods will be out looking for those either just trolling, or being negative.
You will always get which is better debates.

My personal opinion? Neither is "better"....
I personally enjoy playing speedball more and will more often gravitate that direction.
However, I love going back to the woods, bringing either my Ego or my pump. Either type of play is a good time.
That said as long as people are playing paintball I'm good with that.

Welcome to the site! Unfortunately most people don't see it that way. It's human nature to say, "my 'x' is better than your 'x'. why? because i say it is and because it's what i like." lol.

I don't think there will be much of an issue with the differences in game style. I think it will be more marker preference. But even that is a matter of taste.

I had a blast going against Furby on an X-Ball field. BOTH styles have their advantages and disadvantages, BOTH styles help improve OVERALL play and performance for the other. PERIOD

imho this is the way to play, wether you like woods or speed, just get out there and have a blast, hell, bring a friend and get them hooked as well.

i say from the beginning we simply have a zero tolerance policy on the nation drama.
though we will most certainly not agree on all things, we are all brothers in this game. each style has something to bring to the table, and we should have enough respect for ourselves to not act like children or premadona's.

I agree 100% with all of this.

I play mainly Scenario and Outlaw, but I respect those that play speedball and count them as "brothers-in-arms". The sport won't live through a huge struggle for power and neither will places like this.

I hate some sites that don't really police themselves and it makes me feel dirty to just look at some of their posts. I have always liked the OG family of forums, and that is one of the reasons that Dead Box calls the OG's our home!

Oh...and Shaka...great thread about the purpose of the OG!

I voted for the third option.. but I was just kidding. I play woods and just started playing in tournaments. When I play in the tournament I'm a speedballer, when I play in the woods, I'm a recballer. And during both these times I'm a Paintballer. yeehaaa

I feel that no matter what format one is playing, they are still playing paintball. Thats what everyone is out to do is play paintball and have a good time!
