Custom Grips

I’m looking to get some custom grips done for the Etek. So I have two questions those who have them how do you like them? Also what do you think of these I just mocked up in photo shop?

I am a HUGE Fan of Stinger, out of the 9 Ego's on the team, already 5 have them, with the other 4 in the design process by me :)

Oh and FYI, when you design them, dont stress the screw holes...lol I learned to just erase everything inside

Thats cool i was waiting for some one i know to get them so i can see how they feel but i guess ill just have to make the leap.

I dont notice a diffrence. Unlike real steel or my old tippys, I dont hold my ego like I would other markers. Heck with my shooting hand only my thumb touches the back of the grips, and 2 fingers the trigger, I hold onto mine from the LPR and barrel and feedneck...lol So having the grips is nothing noticable for me anyways

I look at it like this, When I had my "mil-sim" 12 pound tippys with every bell and whistle, i occasionally got a good "wow" factor at events.

Ive had my Ego anno'd and custom grips, and my wifes put together for a month, and at 2 events had more people coming up to look at them with the WOW factor, and more people stop and want to see it when I walked past with them, then I did in 2 yrs TOTAL with the tippys.

So having the grips is the way to get that WOW factor!!. That and a custom Anno by Sarge helps too, although my wifes isn't anno'd and she gets alot of looks

Nice design.
I've got SPD grips on my SL74. I notice a difference. I like the feel of rubber grips just a bit better after playing, because they don't get as slick as the SPD grips do.
I do however like how they look, and it they feel good, but not perfect.

I wish more grips had the same material as the sticky 3's. Your hands practically stuck to them.

Those are sick looking, I like the CF look. The suit and gas mask guy is pretty slick. Reminds me of the batman animated series style for some reason :D

Where do you get the grips made? Bro's B-day isn't too far off...some DB grips might be pretty cool.

Very nice, I love the design over CF background. Really stands out. And like Sideshow said. I too learned the hard way. Be very careful when tightening your screws. As if you muscle them down they could crack.

Sweet! I am getting custom grips made up for another gun I own, but not for the Ego, I like the feel of the stock ones.

Most of our (DriverJ + Me) teams will have custom designed grips from SPD, and the goal is eventually to have some sick custom Anno's to match (when we all win the lottery of course).

Nice design though. I would have to give some warning about those designing their own that may not be so technically savvy with the PS and MSP programs, becarefful if you just send them an image. One of our guys sent in a picture of a reaper with a black background and the image background is not the same shade of black as the rest of the product. Just something to consider when self-designing or just linking them to pictures.

The rubber grips are think and these are suprisingly thin. One day Ill have a set done for mine :D

Yea ghillie they do feel slimmer due to you dont have the padding as you would say as the stock ones do!:2wield:
